Hi! It’s the first of November!
I decided to to cut down on the amount of books I’m planning to read this month, because I would like to, for a change, complete them all.
I am participating in the Triwizard Tournament Readathon hosted by Chapter Charms, so I’ll be reading at least one book for that this month.
I’m carrying this one over from last month’s TBR as I didn’t get to finish it in October.
I’m hoping this will be a 5 star read for me – I badly need one or I’ll get into a big reading slump. I’m afraid I’m hyping this up too much in my head. To anyone who for some reason doesn’t know what Ninth House is about, it’s Bardugo’s first adult novel and it’s a paranormal fantasy about secret societies in Yale. It’s meant to be super dark and I can’t wait to start it.
I’m representing Durmstrang for the Triwizardathon the dragon I need to defeat is the Swedish Short-Snout – which means my challenge is to reread a favourite that makes me feel protected. This fits perfectly, and allows me to continue with my reread of the series (I will, as always be live tweeting the whole process). The second challenge I picked, for the method is Bewitched Sleep, which means I need to read a whole book in bed, which this also fits, as I do most of my reading in bed.
I need more sci-fi in my life, so I’m picking this one up, because I’ve read Claire North’s books in the past and loved them. It’s set in a dystopian where you’re allowed to commit any crime, as long as you have the money to pay for said crime. It’s sounds like an interesting and unique concept and I’m excited to read it.
I’ll be listening to this on audiobook. My boyfriend is currently reading it and it’s a good time to get it done at the same time, so we can discuss it.
I’m a big Buffy fan and turns out also a big Kiersten White fan (I read The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein last month and it was SO good, and I love her And I Darken trilogy), so I think I’m gonna enjoy this one.
This book has been sitting on my shelf for the past 3 years. I think it’s time to give it a try. It’s a dark and gritty fantasy – my favourite kind. So why have I not read it already?
And that’s all the books. Honestly, I’d also like to get to The Starless Sea by Erin Morgerstern, Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater and The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White once they come out on Tuesday (cause you KNOW I will be getting them all on that day!), but I don’t think it’s realistic. If I get to them – great – if not, I’ll read them soon.
Any of those on your tbr this month? Let me know!
Talk to you soon.

Great TBR! I can’t wait to reread Harry Potter again!
